Esto es lo que hay, chronicle of a cuban poetry is Lea Rinaldi’s first full-length documentary movie. Esto es lo que hay (“This is what it is”) is a musical documentary about the Cuban new generation. The movie is an immersion into the underground protesting world of “La Aldea” (“the village”) and follows the daily life of Los Aldeanos, the most popular, anti-establishment and censored hip-hop group in Cuba, both on the island and during their world tour.
Esto es lo que hay joins the fight of these new “guerilleros” and offers an intimate portrait of this new artistic revolution. More than a musical or political documentary, Esto es lo que hay is an historical movie – Lea has been filming for 6 years – that reveals the deep evolution that is currently happening in Cuba.
